Chief Financial Officer

Mr Rule has more than 20 years experience as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary in the mining industry in Australia and Africa. He has considerable experience in international debt and equity financing of mining projects, implementation of accounting controls and systems, governance and regulatory requirements, and in mergers and acquisitions. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Accounting degree. Prior to joining Galaxy, he was with ASX-listed African iron ore company Sundance Resources Limited, where he had been Chief Financial Officer since July 2014. His previous positions have also included CFO of Paladin Energy Limited, Mount Gibson Limited, Western Metals Limited and St Barbara Mines Limited. 

Nick Rowley BCom, GradDipAppFinInv
Director - Corporate Development

Mr Rowley holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University Of Notre Dame Western Australia and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia. Mr Rowley previously worked as an Investment Advisor for a major Australian stockbroking firm for 9 years where he gained widespread experience in corporate advisory, M&A transactions and equities markets, advising domestic and international Institutional sales and high net worth individuals.  He also advised on the equity financings of numerous ASX and TSX listed companies predominantly in the mining and resource space.

Mark Pensabene BE BCom
Chief Operations Officer

Mr Pensabene holds both Bachelors of Engineering and Commerce from the University of Western Australia. Mr Pensabene has more than 20 years of experience in the mining and project management sector. Prior to enjoining Galaxy he was with ASX listed Monadelphous Group, where his previous positions include General Manager for over 12 years with key industry involvements in the mineral processing and gas plant construction area, as well as related infrastructure development.

John Sanders LLB (Hons), GAICD
Company Secretary and General Counsel

Mr Sanders holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Western Australia and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Mr Sanders is a senior corporate lawyer with over 20 years’ experience, having held legal and commercial roles in top tier law firms and international resource companies. He has a broad range of experience in corporate governance, international mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiation and implementing resource projects. Mr Sanders has previously worked for Herbert Smith Freehills, King and Wood Mallesons in Perth and Clifford Chance in London, as well as acting as senior in-house counsel at Woodside Energy and Hess Exploration Australia.
